Felson Faculty Writing Retreat

People work and converse in a spacious, well-lit lounge with wooden floors, tables, and orange chairs. Some use laptops while others talk or stand.

The monthly Felson Faculty Writing Retreat begins with brief introductions (and snacks!), with each participant stating a writing goal for the afternoon. We then write steadily and quietly. To begin the last half hour, we check in with one another on progress, then “sprint” with thirty minutes of intensive writing. Latecomers are welcome, as well as colleagues who can stay only for part of the session.

Retreats take place in the third-floor reading room of the Main Library on the last Wednesday of each month, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. For more information, contact Winnie Smith at wsmith78@uga.edu or see the Willson Center events calendar.
