Description

m.SENS is an interdisciplinary initiative to examine complex problems in information design and data representation properly addressed at the interface of the Humanities, Arts, Science and Technology. Its aim is to investigate the effects of multisensory communication and experiences in art, education, science and the humanities, with a view to advancing theory. m.SENS posits an integrated multisensory approach to information design and data representation taking advantage of the full human perceptual apparatus, drawing on several fields including visualization, sonification and haptics. This cluster seeks effective solutions to improve education and society and novel tools to advance fundamental knowledge acquisition.
